The Constitution's framers were uncomfortable with the practice of slavery. The word slavery or slaves doe not appear anywhere in the Constitution.
slavery
few slaves were actually freed for the purpose of colonization.
In a manner of speaking historians have placed slavery and the end of slavery, into a larger and more important reason for the US Civil War. When they have, they often times fail to place it in its proper prospective. They tend to give Northerns a more "anti-slavery" view than what actually happened. With that said, perhaps the largest distortion is present with the Emancipation Proclamation. They fail to note the role of it as a war measure, and tend to understate the slavery that was present in the border states.
The declaration of independence =1776 Article of confederation = 1781 The constitution = 1787 The bill of rights = 1791 (I think that's about right) Thanks this is on my HomeWork and i couldn't get it =)))) how did the articles of confederation fail to fufil the ideas of the constitution?? HELP!!
The Articles of the Constitution failed for more than one reason. One of the reasons the constitution failed was because of failing to provide political and judicial mechanisms for the protection of rights and failure to abide by the articles rules.

The US attempt to overthrow monarchy Mazarin did ultimately fail because he was very popular with the people and had a well organized army.
It was not as accepted in the north, and was not as important in the economy, as for the south, without slavery there economy would fail.
articles of confederation
SOUTHERNERS SAID: it is a part of of culture. our economy will fail without slavery. slaves are not people they are "property". our property is protected under the constitution!. all succesful civilizations in history practiced some form of slavery. if the U.S. is to become a prosperous nation somebody is going to have to be exploited somewhere along the line.
true
They didn't fail; it wasn't a problem at the time. Slavery had been such a common practice around the world for so long. Egyptians enslaved Jews centuries ago. Europeans enslaved Native Americans when they first arrived, and when Africans were enslaved in the states, even the African rulers supported this trading.
They form cancers.
Northerners and Southerners were not ready to resort to violence to abolish slavery
