The French and Indian war ended up costing England a lot of money, and they turned to America to help pay for most of it. They enduced taxes where before there had not been any which angered the colonists who did not feel like they should have to pay as much as they were on stuff that had nothing to do with the war. (Although the taxes that the colonists had to pay were no where near as much as the taxes that the people in England were paying.) The raising of the taxes angered the colonists and caused tension between them and the "mother country" which only helped lead to the future American Revolution just 15 years later.

The French and Indian war was the final war in a series of wars that had occurred during the 18th century between the French and the British, which were mostly fought in the American colonies over control of forts and river trading routes. In this final war, England decided that the battles in Europe were more deserving of their time and left the colonists to fend almost entirely for themselves against the French and the Natives. Also, at the end of all these wars, the British crown was exceedingly poor from all of the military spending it had encountered. Its solution was to pass a series of taxes in the 1760s and 70s, such as the Stamp Act, which caused an enraged group of colonists to cry "no taxation without representation.

One reason is because the french and Indian war put the british in debt. So they had to tax the colonists making the colonists mad. (I deleted something else because that was Silly well worse than that.)

The French and Indian War does not have much of an effect on us today. Although, it did have an effect on the United States after the war. Since Great Britain won, they believed that they had the right to impose taxes on the U.S.

After the war, Britain was in debt and figured the colonists should help pay for it since it was THEM the British soldiers were protecting. The British parliament enacted the Stamp Act, etc on the colonists to help pay for their debt from the war. America also got a large portion of land know as the Ohio River Valley (current Midwest)

The French and British were two major colonial powers before the 13 American colonies became independent.

There seems to be a misunderstanding about the conflicts between Britain and France regarding the names history has given to their wars.

The French & British wars over India are called the Seven Year's War. It ran between 1756 & 1763. The English triumphed in India.

The French & Indian War was fought in North America. The term "Indian" means the Native Americans not the peoples of the nation of India.

The war in North America has similar dates 1754- 1763. There the English also triumphed and invaded and took control of the French area in Canada called Quebec.

The end result was that France played no major role in North America again until it helped the colonists of the American Revolution.
