With the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact. Germans and Russians "shared" the lands. Germany got Poland, and Russia got Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

stalin took over russia by being strict with russia. there was alot of dictorship and he used autocracy and fear because stalin knew that noone in russia would stand up and speak so he basically took control over them
