Boys wrestled, played tug of war, and used pretend weapons to imitate warriors. They also pretended to do work like their fathers. Girls had dolls made of wood or cloth. Sometimes the dolls had hair and moveable legs and arms. There are pictures in Egypt of girls holding hands in a circle and dancing.

The ancient Egyptians lived in a time that was very different from our own, yet they still found ways to enjoy themselves and have fun. Their culture was rich with various forms of entertainment, many of which we can still learn about and appreciate today.

One of the most well-known forms of entertainment in ancient Egypt was music. Music was an integral part of Egyptian life and was played during many different occasions, such as religious ceremonies, festivals, and social gatherings. The ancient Egyptians had a variety of Musical Instruments, including harps, lyres, flutes, and drums. Musicians played both secular and sacred music, and there were even professional musicians who would perform for wealthy patrons.

Dancing was also a popular pastime in ancient Egypt, with many different styles of dance being practiced. Some dances were performed as part of religious ceremonies, while others were done for entertainment. The ancient Egyptians also enjoyed watching others dance, and professional dancers were often hired to perform at social gatherings.

Sports were another form of entertainment in ancient Egypt, with many different games and competitions being played. The most well-known sport in ancient Egypt was probably Senet, a board game that was played by both adults and children. The ancient Egyptians also enjoyed playing other Board Games, as well as outdoor sports such as wrestling, boxing, and hunting.

Festivals were an important part of ancient Egyptian life, and many of these festivals were dedicated to the gods and goddesses of the Egyptian pantheon. These festivals were usually held at specific times of the year and involved various rituals, processions, and performances. One of the most important festivals in ancient Egypt was the Opet Festival, which was held annually in Thebes and involved the statue of the god Amun being paraded through the streets.

The ancient Egyptians also enjoyed storytelling, and there were many different stories and myths that were passed down through the generations. These stories were often told around the fire at night and would include tales of gods, heroes, and mythical creatures.

Another form of entertainment in ancient Egypt was art. The ancient Egyptians were skilled artists who created many beautiful works of art, including sculptures, paintings, and reliefs. These works of art often depicted scenes from everyday life, as well as scenes from religious ceremonies and myths.

One of the most famous forms of entertainment in ancient Egypt was probably the processions of the pharaohs. The pharaohs would often parade through the streets in elaborate processions, accompanied by musicians, dancers, and other performers. These processions were meant to impress the people of Egypt and to demonstrate the power and wealth of the pharaoh.

In addition to these forms of entertainment, the ancient Egyptians also enjoyed spending time with their families and friends. They would often gather together for meals, where they would talk and share stories. They also enjoyed spending time outdoors, and many families would take trips to the countryside or to the Nile River for picnics and swimming.

Overall, the ancient Egyptians had many different ways of having fun and entertaining themselves. They enjoyed music, dance, sports, festivals, storytelling, art, and spending time with their loved ones. Despite the differences in culture and technology between ancient Egypt and our modern world, we can still appreciate the creativity and

ingenuity of the ancient Egyptians and the many forms of entertainment that they enjoyed.

well heres wat i found @ a website since i also needed that ansa: Most men liked to hunt. Even the pharaoh would go hunting. The pharaoh would hunt with his nobles and a few professionals. This group would go down to the water hole in chariots with bows in hand and would sit and relax until they saw an animal. Some animals had to be hunted different ways. With birds, they would throw sticks. With hippos, they would lasso them and then use a harpoon to stab them. One of the reasons they hunted hippos was because hippos crushed their crops. Only the brave would hunt crocodiles. The children liked to play leapfrog and tug of war. They also played with Egyptian toys such as dolls. It was fun to go down to the river and have a picnic, fish, or try to catch water birds. (the website is: http://library.thinkquest.org/J002046F/entertainment)

I think they had a game similar to soccer. But they were not the "fun kind of type" they were all about working and success.
