Through the D.O.I
Declaration
Of
Independence
After creating the D.O.I America had to fight for their freedom in order to keep it. The Battle of Yorktown was the last major battle of the American Revolution. After two years to come to a peace agreement, Great Britain signed the Treaty of Paris of 1783. In this treaty Great Britain recognized the independence of the U.S. making the U.S. an independent nation.
Americans were more determined than the British
They fought a revolution against England, which the colonies won with a lot of help from France and other nations who wanted to weaken Great Britain.

The English Government officially recognized the independence of The United States of America in 1783.
John Dickinson was one of several delegates from Pennsylvania to the Second Continental Congress during the debate over declaring independence from Great Britain. He was against declaring independence, because he believed that the problems between the colonies and Great Britain could be reconciled and the colonies could remain part of the British empire. He favored remaining part of the empire because the colonies would enjoy continued protection from Great Britain from other colonial powers such as France and Spain. He also believed that the colonies could not possibly win a war against Great Britain with its large army and navy. Even though the Pennsylvania delegation eventually approved the resolution for independence and the Declaration of Independence itself, John Dickinson did not sign it.
Well, we worked as a nation to win independence from Britain during our revolution. We also worked as a nation during the french and Indian war
The United States declared its independence on July 4, 1776. This was when the 13 colonies cut off all political affiliations with Britain.

Britain did not help America win the Revolutionary War.
To argue that Americans had a duty to revolt against Britain.
Canada did not "win" its independence. Canada "negotiated" its independence from Britain. Canada and Britain have always been and remain on excellent terms with one another.Canada was the first country to be created by legislation. The British North America Act (now the Constitution Act) created Canada on July 1, 1867.
