They didn't really stop the black death it just kind of let down. They tried lots of things! Many rituals but they got crazier. Eventually most people died 1/3-1/2 of the population died from it!! Also it just let down mainly causing it to end. Oh yea and they made the people on the boats who brought their supplies who were spreading it wait 30 days and that helped so if they were infected they didn't spread it to their people!! They did that in the end so the damage was already done unfortunately! I hope this answers your question! =)
The black death was a rat-borne disease that ravaged Europe and the Middle East many times from the 14th to 17th centuries. In general, the spread of the disease was halted by a number of factors, including:
Bubonic Plague, Also known as Black Death swept through Europe in the 1300's and killed many people. It also happened during the "Great Plague of London" From 1665-1666 which killed 100,000 people, that is one fifth of London's population at the time.
Signs and symptoms of the plague: elevated fever, flu-like symptoms at first, buboes, which were orange sized, septic shock, cardiovascular collapse. There are two forms of bubonic plague: the bubonic form and the pneumonic form (the worst). Paris lost 60% of the population, Portugal lost 50%, and England lost 34%. Approximately 15,000,000 (15 million) people were lost in Europe. An unknown number were lost in Asia. Because so many died, the country just stopped. Imagine just trying to even bury all of these people. Touching them would be enough to cause your death as well.
The disease was carried by fleas which "traveled" on rats and clothing. At this time no one knew what caused diseases.
The black plague got stopped becuase the immunity of a person built up and fought it off
The plague in London ended when villagers began quarantining themselves to keep the disease from spreading. This slowly stopped the number of people infected.
