It isn't very hard, just a little hard to get to the mounting bolts.

You, will have to remove the electric fan by removing the two top mounting bolts (trim screws) and un clipping the wiring harness. Also, you will need to remove the pulley (as I'm sure the new pump will have a bare shaft) the auto parts store should loan you a tool to do this with.
