The easiest way to remove a bypass hose on a Dodge is to cut it off with a sharp knife. The hose is cheap, I replace it with every water pump.
On my Dodge it was the connection pluging into the coil some times I have to wiggle the plugin from the bottom seems to work everytime.
in the 2008 dodge caliber it seems like you cannot. My brother did in fact disconnect the battery...quess what, it worked. after connecting it back, the system reset and off they went.

sounds like you have a bad cv axle. If it is the axle, you are looking at about $100 for the parts.

I had the same problem with my Dodge. Needed an o2 sensor also known as oxygen sensor. Hope this helps.

The top makes for Diesel trucks are Ford, Dodge, and Chevrolet. The best selling Diesel seems to be the Ford F Series. The Duramax engine seems to get very good reviews. The Dodge seems to have more problems with it's engine.
Had the same problem. I changed the fluid & filter and it's been fine. Don't flush the trans just drain fluid.
