Remove rear speakers in a 1998 Ford RangIf it is an extended cab, there isn't much to it. Just take off the covers (4 screws, Phillips head) in the cab. The speakers will come out with it. After that, there are 4 screws (again, Phillips) holding the speaker on. Only two or three of these will need to be removed. There should be one (or two) that only needs to be loosened and the speaker will slide out from under it. If this isn't the case, just remove all four screws.

The wires will be attached using a connector that secures everything together. This will have a piece that secures the wires to the speaker. Pry this away from the connector and it should slide off. If you are replacing these with aftermarket speakers, you can save time by just cutting these close to the connector.

Installation is the reverse of removal.
