Remove the #1 spark plug
Remove valve cover
Rotate engine manually (make sure in neutral if std.)
until #1 piston is at the top of the cylinder (check with dowel or similar tool) and both intake and exhaust valves are closed. This is TDC
Install distributor so that the rotor is firing at No. 1 cylinder
