Nothing really happens. It just shows that they are stressed out, or scared. If this happens, try to figure out why they would be scared or stressed, then get rid of the problem. Or, if it is another fish, move them away from each other.

∙ 12y agoFish Are Just Like Humans, If A Human Gets No Sunlight And Stays Inside All Of The Time Then He Will Get Whiter And Whiter And Loose Most Of Their Skin Tone. Same With Fish. Fish Will Loose Their Color By Not Enough Light. Make Sure You Have A Light On The Tank For At Least 5-6 Hours A Day.
