How do you replace the dash lights on a 2004 Nissan Quest
the slender rod that projects out from the tachometer, which is pushed to reset the trip odometer...when you turn it, the dash lights brighten or darken.

They are tied to either the brake lights or the tail lights.
Check the dimmer setting for the dash lights. There should be a dial to adjust the brightness on the dash to the left of the steering wheel.
To reset the dash light indicators on a Toyota Tundra the trucks ECU will need to be reset. The simple way of resetting the ECU requires disconnecting the battery for 5 seconds. When the ECU is reset the lights will be clear.
After repairing the failure that caused the code, the lights will reset themselves.
Alternator is failing.
They share the same fuse.
The ones on the instrument panel? If so then they are most likely like my tc. They are led and you can have them changed, or do it yourself if you are talented at soldering, to any color including a color changing needle. Depending on your location you may have to send it off.
I found a reset button under the dash board. You may want to look there first.
The check engine and other dash warning lights can be reset by disconnecting the vehicles battery for more then 5 minutes. If warning light continues after reconnecting battery then there is still a problem.
