∙ 12y agoTo send a fax from a phone, you'll need an online fax service. You will receive all of your faxes in your email client, and you'll be able to send faxes through the online fax system as well. Then you just need to be able to get your email on your phone. If you can email, you can fax.
Not all online fax providers are created equal though, so some may not be mobile-phone-friendly. There are some comparison charts out there that are helpful in finding out what the differences are between the providers and their plans. Some may even an app specifically for mobile phones.

1) connect the fax machine to a phone line
2) have the person sending the fax send the fax to the phone/fax line number
3) receive the fax with the fax machine.
Most fax machines should be set to automatically receive, however some will need you to press the "ok" or green button when the fax line is ringing.
