On one of my friends suggestion, I placed hydtraulic jack under the oil pan placing a 2x6 wood piece on top of jack to avoid damaging the pan. Then I raised the engine very gently to make enough room to remove the palstic cover. I did NOT remove any engine mount bolts. It worked and I saved over $100 by not making a trip to a mechanic. The Starter is not easy to change. First thing " Disconnect the battery". The starter is under the intake manifold and bolts into the transmission. You need to remove the intake and all related hoses and plastic parts as well as the hard plastic cooling pipe that basically sits above the starter. There are 2 bolts that hold it in and one is easy to get at and the other is a bit more difficult.
