Take Note: this is very similar to the Ford Windstar, Toyota Sienna rear engine cover removal accept the wiper pivots and linkage stay on the Honda Civic...just lots of weak plastic lock pins so be gentle and any auto parts have the lock pin to replace on rebuild..!! NOTE" Do not over tighten Low / high pressure Bolts on pump"..they do break".. Take your time, have a cup of coffee if frustration occurs"..!!

Here is the pump Note O-ring High pressure hose, See low Pressure line snout on pump under B hose and you see 10mm bolt secures snout to pump, the 2nd O-Ring fits on the neck, will see when you wiggle snout loose from pump. Note The upper bolt is tight over pump pully and right side unibody frame. I got started laying on my back using a shallow 12mm socket then went uptop to tighten upper 12mm bolt. Remember install lower 12mm bolt first do not tighten this will provide anchor to pivot pump on during reassembly.

Before changing the power steering pump on a 2001 Honda Civic drain all the fluid in the system. The pump is located in the front of the engine. Remove the belt first than the pump. Unplug all hoses that travel to it and replace the unit. Once replaced flush the power steering system.
The adjusting pulley for the power steering is found on the side of the engine under the power steering pump. Loosen the bolt that keeps it tight and the belt will have some slack to slide off the pulley.
turn steering wheel lock to lock several times.
What size bolt for a 2005 Honda civic DX power steering tank bracket..
Replace the fuse.
Changing a power steering belt on a 1998 Honda Civic requires loosening the adjustment pulley. Locate and loosen the pulley to create enough slack so the belt can slide off. Install the replacement.
