Resetting a check engine light without making the necessary repairs will do NO good as it will come right back on. You will need a GM Tech1 (or compatible) scantool to retrieve and earse (reset) codes from either a 1994 or 1995 Beretta. This is because GM was in a transitional period between 1993-1996 to comply with the government mandated OBD-II system. The diagnostic components in those years are a combination of OBD-I and OBD-II parts, and cannot be scanned with a standard scantool.
Unfortunately, unless you know someone with such a scantool (GM
Tech1, Actron CP9150, etc.), you will need to go to a GM dealer to
have your codes reset.
