You need to put a floor jack under the transmission pan, Then remove the 2 bolts that are in the rear trans mount. Then jack the trans. up till the bolts clear the crossmember, now remove the crossmember out of the way, Then let the jack down real slow being carefull not to crush the distributor against the fire wall. let the transmission come down until you can get a long extention and socket onto the two top bolts. That's how you get them out.
