put mouse over area and use centre dial on mouse to lower land - this automatically creates water. To make a hill turn dial he other way. Hope this helps.
Another way via laptop
The way i do it is, I go to the terrain editor, the one that changes the shape of the ground. Then i press shift and hold down the left click button on the area you want to be water.
