To install a shifter linkage on a NP model 205 transfer case it takes a few steps. Start with a new gasket positioning the transfer case to the extension, install the bolts and nuts, connect the shift rod to the shift lever arm, secure with the spring and washer, connect the front wheel shaft to the case, connect the rear axle and then you are done.
Linkage is on the drivers side of trany (about under drivers seat area). May not be adjustable, but if it is then look there for a adjustment rod
Located on the carb look at your throttle linkage. Under the throttle linkage but on the same plate you will see another rod that runs down behind the engine. This rod also is used for your passing gear and runs down to the trans. You need to adjust the travel on this rod. If it is shifting late adjust it longer I belive. Try it and if not go the other way. Good Luck!!
You connect your floor shifter to your transfer case in a 4x4 Chevy truck 1993 by getting under the truck and looking for the rod that comes from the shifter to the transfer case. Then, use the pin connector to connect the rod.
REMOVE the pin from the actuator rod to the wastegate turn the rod adjusment nut little by little.... this WILL raise boost if you make it shorter AND WILL lower boost if you make it longer
On the transmission where the shift rod connects. The rod should run through a block or bracket that has a bolt that tightens down on the rod. Loosen the bolt and the rod should slide in the bracket. When you have it in place, tighten the bolt back down. It could also be worn bushings where the rod changes direction. These can just be replaced.
There is a rod that runs from the clutch pedal mechanism to the clutch fork. On this rod there should be threads and a couple of nuts to adjust the length of the rod shorter or longer. Adjust as needed.
Are you talking about the plastic pieces that connect a linkage rod to the handle etc? All you have to do is look at it. It's just a clip on. Push it off the rod and pull the rod out of it then you can pull the plastic clip off the lever.
Assuming you mean tie-rod, tie-rods are part of the steering linkage.
pelican parts has complete photos of both side shift and rear shift linkage. pelicanparts.com
know what you mean. Mine was real loose and sloppy. If you check 4wd or quadratrac. They have all the parts you need. There should be plastic bushings where the attachment rod slides through on the transfer case. Also the pins that hold the shift linkage will ware out. or some people replace tem with screws. Also their should be a plastic tip on the end of the shift rod that takes up the slack where it slides through at the shift rails. If you replace all these pieces you will see a big improvement. Or you could swapp in a twin stick shiffter.
