The clutch pedal can be adjusted for height. There is no adjustment for the actual clutch on a 2000 Accent.
It is not adjustable.
To adjust the clutch pedal height in the Peugeot 307 locate the adjuster bolt on the floor under the clutch pedal. Loosen the bolt and pull out the pedal to the proper height then tighten the bolt. To make the clutch pedal lower for the operator simply push in on the clutch pedal while the adjuster bolt is loose, then tighten the bolt.
Hi, if you look at the pedal, there is a 10mm bolt, adjust it out to make the pedal higher, or adjust it in to make the pedal lower.
The clutch itself cannot be adjusted in any car that I know of, what is adjustable is the clutch pedal. In 95 Accents you can adjust the pedal height by losening the nut that holds the rod that connects the pedal to the clutch cylinder, then you just have to give it a few turns until the desired pedal height is achieved. Don't forget to re-tighten the nut again and you are done.
It could possibly be your clutch pedal height. I had to fix the problem in my car, had the same thing happening. Go to your local shop or look up on the interweb and find out how to adjust the clutch pedal height.
Inspect the condition of clutch pedal rubber stop, if damaged or missing install a new one. Where necessary, disconnect interlock clutch rod at transmission end. Adjust clutch linkage by turning self-locking adjustment nut to provide 5/32" free movement at outer end of clutch fork. This adjustment will provide the required one inch free play at the pedal. Reassemble interlock rod if used.
