To to adjust the throttle cable, first take off the air cleaner. Hold down the metal adjusting tab that is at the end of the cable. There is a sliding piece at the end of the cable, move it against the end. Let go of the adjusting tab then move the cable to the end.
The T V cable is a "Throttle Valve" cable and is located by the throttle body and is part of the throttle and can be adjusted by simply pushing on the adjustment part of the TV....by adjusting the cable it will affect the shift points of your trans.
pcv valve is located under the throttle cable frame (frame holding the throttle cable) that's bolted to the intake manifold. go to autozone ask for a valve and you will have no problem locating it.
You can adjust the idle by removing the plastic splash guard right at the throttle cable and just turn the screw to increase or decrease idle.
if its a manual then it could be three things, clutch cable or throttle cable, or IAC (idle air control valve) but if its an automatic it could be throttle cable or IAC.
I had the problem clean the egr valve, camshaft position sensor and the mass flow intake sensor use crc cleaner and brake cleaner for the egr valve. After all that i found out i had to adjust my throttle cable and adjust the idle it runs smooth now.
The TV cable(throttle valve control cable)is your transmission kick down.Or is also incorrectly known as passing gear.It goes from your throttle body to your transmission .
reburton2@comcast.net You don't. Valve lifters are hydraulic, they automatically adjust for proper clearance.
Try looking on the head, on the passenger side of the throttle body
It will have to be somehow attached to the throttle valve. Clamp the cable so that it doesnt moves then attach it to the vavle and it should go back and forth. The more the valve is openend then the more rpms it should have. Good luck.
valve or rocker clearence for a 1995 chevy 2.2
Should be right by the throttle body.
The tps is on the driver's side of the throttle body. The throttle body is mounted to the front of the intake, and has a cable going to it from the throttle pedal. When you push the pedal down the cable opens the valve inside the body.
