get the engine to operating temp. undo the PIP connector about 6 inches from the ignition module(a one wire connector). undo the distributor clamp rotate until the timing is at 10 degrees before top dead center. snug the distributor clamp down plug the PIP connector back in and you are good to go. The EGR valve on a 1979 F150 with a 302 is located in the center of the engine. It is close to the firewall.
Very simply...it turns it into a 302 HO. It also changes the timing of the 302 to the timing of the 351.
