You don't. You can choose not to be active, but being Gay is how you are born. It is better to accept yourself and live the best way that you can rather than live a lie. Straight or Gay makes very little difference in how we live our lives. Trying to please someone else or live by their standards is a fools game. You can never win that game. Be who you are supposed to be and don't worry about other peoples opinions.

You don't. You can be celibate, but "ungay" yourself? There is no reason to even if you could. I admit I'm on one side of the argument, being gay myself. Wouldn't change if I could. Being straight is no picnic either. Will you have issues? Yes. Everyone does about something. Being comfortable with yourself and who you are is what's important.
