Just turn the wheels all the way to the left and right several times and the air will work itself out. No big deal.
how do I bleed my power steering pete thank you
It doesn't have a bleed valve for the power steering.
You dont, when you install the new pump, fill it with fluids and put the cap back on, the pump will basically bleed it self with just afew turns of the steering wheel.
Yes. you will have to replace the manual steering box with a power steering box, install a power steering pump and lines and possibly a main pulley on the crank to run the belt for the power steering pump if your car doesn't have the right pulley.
no
The power steering lines run between the power steering pump and the rack and pinion.
From under the 2003 Ram, loosen the lowest power steering hose, and let the fluid drain into a pan. Remove the power steering belt. Remove the fluid lines, and unbolt the pump. Install the new pump, hook up the lines, and re install the belt. Fill up with new fluid.
the power steering is leaking were the lines run inside the boot on the driver side
Turn the wheel ALL the way to the right and then ALL the way to the left a few times. This will force air out of the lines. Top off the power steering reservoir when you are done.
It was an option back then....so yes. Simply put, find the correct power steering gear box, lines, brackets and pump. Install and enjoy.
normally you keep turning the steering to full lock both sides and the pump should bleed itself.
shoot it
