fill your clutch master cylinder with dot 3 brake fluid, keep an eye on it while u are bleeding itand dont let it empty out and get air in lines, have some one pump clutch pedal about 3 times and hold it to floor,go to the clutch slave cylinder ,its bolted on to the side of the transmission with arubber boot connected to it, open bleeder valve, make sure u have a clear hose connected at end of bleeder screw and have hose in aclear glass so u can see air come out. bleed the slave cylinder till no air comesout ,next u need tobleedthe clutch damper, its on the left side ofthe fire wall, make sure your slave cylinder is not leaking ,if it is u need anew one about 18.00.
Replace master and slave cylinder, then bleed hydraulics.
Well, we need lots more information here. Is the clutch pedal actually "stuck" to the floor? In other words, can you NOT lift the pedal up to the normal position? OR, has the clutch pedal "fallen" to the floor due to no resistance from the clutch?
You need to bleed your clutch master cylinder line.
check your clutch fluid lines and your clutch fluid and also bleed the clutch and it should work just fine mine did the same thing and i had to replace a clutch line that was pinched
u must bleed the system . fill the clutch master cylinder with dot 3 brake fluid and keep an eye on it when bleeding so it wont run out ,have someone pump clutch pedal 3 times and hold to floor and oper bleeder valve on clutch slave cylinder till no air comes out then go to clutch damper and do the same ,follow clutch line fromclutch master cylinderto damper.
I had recently experienced this with my 1989 626. The pedal only stuck to floor in 1st and reverse gears at first then eventually stayed stuck. I replace the clutch master cylinder. It could also be the slave cylinder which is where you will find the bleeder valve. Follow the hydraulic line from the master down to the slave and you will find the bleeder valve. First thing that i looked at was the fluid level in the reservour, then the master cylinder than the slave. Good luck
First check the clutch fluid reservoir.Second get under the truck on the passenger side and check the clutch slave cylinder on the transmission. If it is leaking replace it.To bleed the system loosen the bleed screw and have another person push the clutch pedal and do this to flush the old fluid out and you will have to refill the reservoir several times until the fluid bleeding out is clean. Now if after doing this and still the pedal is stuck to the floor check the clutch master cylinder for leaks where it bolts to the brake booster. If leaking change out the part, rebuilding is timely and it is cheaper to buy the whole part with the reservoir with it from auto zone or advance. You will bleed it the same as above.
obviously you have a clutch line or slave cylinder leak.
the piston in your clutch master cylinder is stuck in the cylinder body. you need to remove, hone out, rebuild or buy (best) a new one. on line about $50.
If a 1989 Nissan Sentra clutch pedal quit working and the car is now stuck in reverse, it will need to be towed to a repair shop to fix the clutch. The transmission may also be damaged due to it being stuck in reverse.
Well it can only be one of two things. One the clutch slave cylinder is worn out and leaking at the dust boot (normal wear) or the clutch master cylinder is stuck and needs to be replaced (do not recomm rebuild on this). I would check ur fluid level for the clutch reservoir and then check up under at the transmission where the slave cyldr pushes the fork to change the gears on the rhs of the trans and if u see fluid around the rubber dust boot replace the slave cylinder. You bleed this the same as brakes fill reservoir and bleed the air out of the system from the bleeder screw on the slave cyldr. Also if the clutch master cylinder is bad it may leak inside at the clutch pedal toward the firewall. My clutch master failed this past aug 09 pedal stuck and basically the spring inside the part was orig, sticking and worn out after 22 yrs did not have a leak.I would start with the slave cyldr check then the master. It is one or the other unless ur clutch or throwout bearing are gone.
Your clutch cable snapped. It should be an easy fix.
