In most vehicles you can see two hoses that disappear into the firewall. These carry the hot water to and from the heater core. find where they come out and return to the cooling system and connect the outgoing and incoming with one single hose. You will need to have less water in the system once you do this. If you are doing this in the winter, obviously your heater will not work anymore. Also, if you have any overheating problems, you won't be able to draw heat off the engine by running the heater once you do this. You can bypass it, by unhooking the heater hoses under the hood, and installing a coupler between the two hoses, thus looping the coolant flow back to the engine, without it ever entering the heater core.
Disconnect both heater hoses going through the firewall to the heater core. Connect these two hoses together.
No , if you were to bypass the heater core , you would have no heat
What are the parts for a standard tune up for a 1988 Ford Taurus?
No.
I'm the one asking the question
The heater switch is located in the middle of the car in the 1998 Ford Taurus. It is either above or below the radio.?æ
why is my '99 ford taurus making a knock noise and smoking from under the radator
did the heater core start leaking? anyway you should have no problem with the air if you bypass the heater core.
I was about to assume this was a typo and the question is really about the heater core ... But decided they might be asking about the block heater cord(??)If it's the CORE you're looking for, see "Related Questions" below
yes only of they have the same engines. there should be no problems.
