On your 1989 MERCURY TOPAZ, the BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH is: UNDER HOOD, DRIVER SIDE, LOWER ENGINE AREA, MOUNTED ON TOP OF TRANSMISSION
Get the alternator checked before your battery goes dead.
Scrap yard, plenty there.
There is no change transmission lamp.
Check engine light? You have to plug the computer in to read the faults. If you do not have one, then most good service shops have, and for a small fee will help you.
You need an oil change.
First what is wrong with you headlight switch on your 93 topaz.
yes topaz can be pink, yellow, yellow-brown, light blue, and red
How do you reset the oil life light on Mercury Mariner? Dealer didn;t reset at oil change & we are out of state now. Thanks
Burned out bulb?
Colorless, light blue, yellow, yellow-brown, and red are the most common topaz colors.
To change the rear brake light on a Mercury Villager, the tail gate must first be lifted. This allows access to the lens, which must be removed with a screwdriver. Then, the bulb may be replaced.
Sounds like bulbs have burned out try replacing them
don't believe they had daytime running lights in 1991 topaz
Probably because the light is burned out. It is pretty easy to change.
Its just a geuss. but on my 93 mercury topaz the head light switch alsoe controls the lights in side the care. If it's clicked all the way on that might be why.
bulb light burned out every 4 months.type of bulb is H7
The bulbs screw in from the rear. There are screws holding the light assy on and youhave to take them out to take the light off.
#20BCD8 Light sea green
Most likely the alt. not charging. Check it with a volt meter on the battery while the engine is running. Should read 14 or so volts.
Is there a gauge panel dimmer wheel switch ? Try rotating it , it may be rotated all the way in one direction
Mercury does not emit light.
If you are getting an indicator of a burned out light, but don't see a burned out light, it must be a turn signal light. On a Mercedes, you'll actually get a "burned out light" indicator if the turn signal is not working.
