Make sure the tank is empty of almost empty as the sending unit is located vertcally in the tank just rear & above the rear axel. Unplug the lines & the wiring. Disconnect the filler neck support the tank and remove the straps (2 bolts). Drop the tank & use a chisel & hammer & turn the ring around the sending unit till the sending unit retaining ring is loose. Gently pull the sender/fuel pump out. Install new unit & New ring & rubber seal (should come with the pump if its a good one) reverse to install.
