Replacing a Headlight Bulb

Your vehicle has halogen headlight bulbs. Handle them by their steel base and protect the glass from contact with your skin or hard objects. If you touch the glass, clean it with denatured alcohol and a clean cloth. NOTE: Halogen headlight bulbs get very hot when lit. Oil, perspiration, or a scratch on the glass can cause the bulb to overheat and shatter. # If you need tochange the headlight bulb on the driver's side, remove the Power Steering reservoir tank by pulling it out of its holder. If you need to change a headlight bulb on the passenger's side, remove the bolt from the battery stay and push the battery toward windshield to obtain enough working space. # Remove the electrical connector from the bulb by pushing on the bottom of the tab and pulling the connector down. # Remove the bulb by turning it one-quarter turn clockwise. # Insert the new bulb into the hole and turn it one-quarter turn clockwise to lock in in place. # Push the electrical connector back onto the bulb. # Turn on the headlisghts to test the new bulb. # (Passenger's side)

Put the battery back to its original position, reinstall the bolt in the battery stay and tighten it securely.

(Driver's side)

Reinstall the power steering reservoir.
