Supplement to Answer: If you have a 302, there is no timing belt. Are you referring to the belt that drives the accessories (water pump, alternator, etc.)? If so, just put a wrench on the tensioner bolt (the pulley that doesn't drive an accessory) and pull it away from the belt. Slip the belt off the tensioner and remove. Reverse the process to reinstall. It's easier with a helper, but definitely can be done by one guy.The Ford Mustang does not have a timing belt, it has a timing chain that should last the life of the engine and requires no maintenance.
