Remove the wheel
Trace the speed sensor from behind the rotor to a connector
disconnect the connector
unscrew the bolt that's attaching the sensor to the rotor platform
You might have to pry the sensor from the rotor platform geraldfulsom34@Yahoo.com

The vehicle speed sensor is a permanent magnet generator mounted on the transaxle case
there are 4 wheel speed sensors, 1 transmission input, 1 transmission output speed sensor.
On the top rear of the transmission is a wire connector with 2 wires. That's the speed sensor. On the top rear of the transmission is a wire connector with 2 wires. That's the speed sensor.

The 2001 Nissan Maxima has a 5-speed manual.
The 2005 Nissan Maxima has a 6-speed manual.
The speed sensor (transmission revolution sensor) is located on the left side of the bellhousing near the top. Access is through the driver's side wheel well. I'm at the wheel well and i cant see the speed sensor
Probably has at least 5 speed sensors, one for each wheel and one for the speedometer in the transmission.
