I changed one on an 2003 Focus, and I must say, its not that hard. You will need to remove the airbag module first, which should require the removal of at least 2 screws from the back of the steering wheel. Depending on where the screws are, it may be easier to turn the car on, and turn the wheel to one side, remove a screw, then turn it to the other side, and remove the other. Once you have done this, it helps to then center the wheel, and turn the car off. THEN, remove the battery terminals and wait about 1 minute or so (sometimes a charge can be stored). Now, you will need to gently pry the airbag module off. There will be a wire conector, so make sure not to yank it off, and gently undo clip holding the wire in. Then carefully place the airbag somewhere safe. The clock spring will be located behind it. Remove and replace, and put everything back together. Its really not that hard. Good luck
