How do you change front brake pads on a 2000 blazer?

Hello, Jamison here, step by step- Remove front tire, TURN THE WHEEL TO THE LEFT FOR THE RIGHT SIDE, AND OPPOSITE FOR THE OTHER Open bleader valve, at top of caliper, it will be at A slight angle, use 2 flat screwdrivers, large ones work better, pry between the PAD and ROTOR (either front or back pad is OK) back it all the way off, If this is VERY difficult, REPLACE the caliper with NEW/REBUILT unit, to remove the caliper from the rotor, There are 2 bolts 10MM Allen head pointing dirrectly toward the outside of the wheel-well, This means that you will be working from the inside of the wheel well (YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ACTUALLY GET UNDER THE WELL), They have rubber oround where the Allen goes (DO NOT REMOVE RUBBER FROM CALLIPER), You are ready to ROLL the calliper and pads off the rotor, BE SURE THAT EVERYTHING GOES BACK WHERE IT CAME OFF, This is not difficult to reassemble, If it is, make sure the calliper is fully open, If it is still hard to assemble, You are LIKELY not doing it correctly. Most pads have an INNER and OUTTER, LOOK AT THE OLD ONES BEFORE REMOVING THEM FROM CALLIPER, ONCE you have reassembled the brakes on THIS SIDE and closed the bleader, DO NOT,,, DO NOT,,,,, DO NOT,,, Press brake all the way to the floor, This will set the equiliser block, and they are not easy to UNLOCK, that would take the rest of the day, with light taps to the pedal,,,,You do not want that. BE SURE YOU DO NOT ALLOW THE FLUID RES. TO GET TOO LOW!!!! start pressing the pedal about half way down, and letting off, until the calliper is clamped back to the rotor. ADD FLIUD AS NEEDED, If you changed the callipers, they are easy to bleed, just open the bleeder valve A LITTLE, hold your finger over the HOLE in the top (fluid will eventually be pushed out with pressure, try not to get sprayed), and have A friend pump up The brakes, BEING SURE NOT TO PUSH THE PEDAL MORE THAN HALF WAY TO THE FLOOR, When you get ALL fluid, have your friend hold the pedal steady, NOT LETTING UP, this would cause the master cyl. to suck air back into the system, then snug the bleeder valve, DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN IT, get it very snug,, about 20inch lbs. NOW DO THE OTHER SIDE, This should take an INEXPERIENCED PERSON, about 3 to 6 hours. GOOD LUCK, Jamison, If you are not sure it is right, have someone check it out, your life is on the line.
