I just did this today, takes about 1 to 2 hours. First, jack up the front end. Put the jack just behind the front tire, its where the manual tells you to put the jack to replace the front tire. Now, you can remove the tire for easier access, but its not necessary. I did not remove the tire. Make sure your jacked up nice and high, my tire was just off the ground. now, remove the bolt on the bottom. I used my air ratchet to remove the nut, while holding the bolt with a ratchet. next, get to the top bolt from the wheel well. I just pushed up the plastic wheel well cove so i could just get to the top bolt. You need two wrenches for the next step. first, tighten a wrench around the flat part of the bolt coming out of the top of the shock. The other wrench is fitted around the nut holding the shock in place. push the wrenches away from each other. the wrench holding the bolt went clockwise while the wrench holding the nut went counter clockwise. This takes some effort, but just keep loosening. Use a bolt loosening spray too. after the nut is finally off, pop the old shock out. Now insert the new shock top bolt first. If the bottom horseshoe fitting will not slip over the housing, jack up the car some more. If the horseshoe fitting is too high to put the bolt back in to the housing, lower the jack to where it lines up. put the bottom bolt in and tighten the nut. Now, go back in the wheel well and tighten up the bolt on the top nut. you are done.
