1. Detach the small hose/line carrying washer fluid from the nozzle on the hatch door 2. pull the wiper arm from the axel of the motor, remove the wiper (if it is rusty, use flat head screw drive to remove) 3. Insert the wiper into new arm 4. Press the new wiper arm onto the wiper motor axel 5. connect the hose/line to the nozzle
The switch just pops out of the dashboard.
You may want to try removing the wiper blade and shaft nut first to eliminate the blade from continually moving. Then, consult your mechanic.

The rear window wiper arm will have a retaining clip at the bottom of the wiper arm. Hold the retaining clip in with two fingers and pull outward on the rear wiper arm.
Just unscrew the rear brake light, turn out the socket, and replace the bulb.
On a 2000 Mercury Villager : The washer fluid for the rear liftgate is supplied by the same reservoir as the windshield ( located in the engine compartment )
First Raise the rear wiper blade assembly out away from the back glass it will pull away from the body of the van. next there is a plastic clip located on the wiper shaft pop this clip off. After you have removed the clip slid the wiper assembly out of the slot. This should allow complete removal. Next step re-install the new wiper in reverse.
