You have to remove the glove box compartment on the passenger side, as well as the plastic moldings underneath it. Look for the wire going up to the blower resister, and that will help locate it. It is way in the back. With some patience and the proper combination of driver extensions and angles you should be able to get the three bronze screws off of it. Getting it off is the hard part. Although you can do it with the blower motor on, if it is easier you could remove the big blower component. Just remove the screws you see, and it will drop right off. You could even clean that out if you live in an area with lots of trees and leaves. Once in awhile something little works it's way in there and the buzzes. I just had my resistor replaced at a Pontiac dealer for...ouch! $256.00
You have a bad blower resister..............
Switch, resistor or connection. it could be those but if your headlights go off when you turn the blower on it is the ignition switch i had to replace it in mine very fun :( Probably the resistor. I had same problem. to replace resister it's under glove box. Pull down carpet under glove box. look toward the front of the car. it's connected to the blower motor wires. held on by one screw.
Assuming level 5 is high speed, the blower motor speed resister is burned out. This part is available at your local auto parts store. ^^ Thank you that's exactly what it was :) Works like a champ now! :D
Check coolant level check blower motor fuse Check the thermostat
Does the blower work? If not the problem is likely the fuse or a failed blower motor. If it works but blows cold air you probably have a broken engine coolant thermostat. Have you checked your coolant level?
Yes, it's not how to reduce roots blower noise level, it's how to reduce turbo blower noise level. Normally turbo blower noise level is less than 80 dba when roots blower noise level is more than 90 dba, some user are still not satisfied, they want the noise level below 60 dba or even 50 dba. Turbo blower ZCJSD has it's own suggestion to reduct turbo blower noise level: Wrap the outlet pipe with sound-absorbent material, please see below photo:
blower motor resistor
It controls the amount of current the blower receives so that is operates at the speed level you select ie: Low, Med, High.
