Open the trunk and find two small rectangular plates on the interior side of the trunk lid. Pop these two plates out. Look in the openings and find the sockets in which the license plate lights are located. Twist counterclockwise and the sockets should come free. Remove the faulty bulb and replace with a new one. Then put it all back together by doing this all in reverse.
