# How do you change the oil pan on a 92 Firebird 5.7?

You can cheat by unbolting your engine mounts and jacking up your engine a few inches. Then unbolt your oil pan.Make sure you check you pan for straightness. This is easy by looking at where your bolts went.If its not flat take a hammer and tap lightly to flaten it.I allways put silicone on both sides of the new pan gasket to insure a proper seal.
