This is tight quarters but it can be done without tearing out the manifold and such.You need a ratchet ,extension and socket and patience.. Good luck.....

You have to remove the coil that sits on top of the spark plug, coils are the six square objects that have spark plug wires running to them.

A 1996 Toyota Camry that will have spark and then sometimes no spark might be having a problem with the spark plugs. Each individual spark plug is now a solid state electrode in that year of Toyota Camry. The ignition coil pack on top of the spark plug is probably loose or cracked.

generally on a Toyota 3.0 either in a Camry or an Avalon you need to remove the upper intake- also known as the plenium- to gain access to the back spark plugs. You will need to make sure that you have a new gasket for the plenium to avoid any vac. leaks

I suspect you have V6. If it is the case, you will have to remove intake manifold. There is no other way to replace it.

The torque for spark plugs is 18 N*m or 13 ft*lbf.

Like any car it depends on how many cylinders the car has. If it is a 4 cylinder then it has 4 spark plugs. If it's a 6 cylinder it has 6 spark plugs. An 8 cylinder truck has 8 spark plugs
