I can't seem to get the spool off.
The Weed Eater brand of trimmers have very few spool tangles
1. Rotate spool to line up arrows on spool and surrounding casing. 2. Find notch and pry with wide flat-end screwdriver. 3. Spool will pop out.
Locate the round tap button. Pull it straight out, firmly. This opens the chamber for new line or spool. I figured this out five minutes ago.
You can find the User's Manual at the following web address for Poulan.Com http://72.3.225.179/manuals/545186760en_r1.pdf Hope this helps.
No, electric weedeaters have a motor and a cord spool.
pull straight out to remove the spool, wind in the direction of the arrow - to replace, feed the string through the hole and pull on it, keeping slight tension on the spool as you push it back into the head
It's tangled on the spool. You need to open & rewind around it.
Need full spool replacement
The spool can be taken off a Weed Eater Twist N Edger TE 15 by pressing inward and turning it counter clockwise. This allows more cutting line to be added or jams to be cleared.
Read the owners manual in the link below. It will explain how to restring the trimmer.
Line the mark up with the arrow and pull real hard.
it actlly all depends on which head you have...but regardless always roll spool putting the line on it, don't roll the line, but the spool, keeps the line able to come off when bumping, if you wind the line around the spool it will normally melt and prevent it from feeding.
