There are 2 transmission speed sensors on the right side of the transmission... look below and just to the left of the battery and behind the base of the Transmission Fluid dip stick. They look like large white nylon spark plugs. One is the input speed sensor and the other is the output speed sensor. The input is on the left... the output is on the right and is thicker than the input sensor. 1.Unclip the electrical wire connectors using a screwdriver to release the locking clip; 2. unscrew each using a long socket to fit each as they are different socket sizes. Replace with new sensors. The parts store that I purchased from had costs of $19.99 for input and $23.99 for output. The output sensor on the right is hard to reach, so, removing the input first makes a bit more room to reach in to pull out the output sensor. Use Google Images search for 2002 Chrysler Town & Country Transmission and scroll down until you see a diagram. Good luck!

yes the have a speed sensor a input and out put the input allow your transmission to change gears and the output speed sensor allow your speed to register on your speed domitor
A 1996 Chrysler Town and Country does not have a speedometer or odometer cable. That signal comes from the transmission output speed sensor.
It is on the top rear of the transmission bell housing.
The output speed sensor is on the front of the transmission case, to the far driver side.
The vehicle speed signal comes from the transmission computer via the output speed sensor. The output speed sensor is on the front, driver side of the transmission case.
The output speed sensor is on the front of the transmission case. It is the two wire sensor on the driver side.
