Safest way if you don't know much about electrics is to have it checked by a tradesman, if you do know about electrics, then turn off the power to the sockets/power outlets and check where the cable comes from the wall to check if the earth wire is connected and then do the same with the back of the cooker where the wires connect, if the cooker is pre-wired (where the wire is direct into the cooker) then you would need an engineer to dismantle the unit to check. If the electric is just to power the spark and a light then it maybe on a regular power outlet with a plug. If you suspect a fault then it is best to have it checked by a qualified tradesman.
Most likely you have a grounded electrical on your A/C. better yet bring it to your dealer and have the electrical check. Try to consider and check the possible amp needed.
CHECK THE FOLLOWING:Fuse or breakerRelay is providing powerPump electrical is grounded properlyIf these check good, pump must be replaced.
First check to make sure that the system has freon, if not then you will have a leak then check the electrical system................
If the electrical box is grounded, check with a tester, the "hot" wire will have a voltage to the the grounded box the neutral wire will not. If the box is not grounded, with the breaker supplying the voltage turned off, use a tester on the resistance scale to check for continuity between the wires and a cold water pipe or some other grounded medium. The neutral will have continuity between the wire and a ground the "hot" wire will not.
First check to see if the system has freon in it and if not then you have a leak but if it does then you will need to check the electrical for the a/c system.......
have the tank dropped and see if the problem is there. if it isn't, check the lines and your electrical system itself. have the tank dropped and see if the problem is there. if it isn't, check the lines and your electrical system itself.

You have only two this that can cause this and you need to first check to see if there is any freon in the system and if so then check the a/c electrical system..........
The light in on because there is a problem with the electrical system. More than likely the alternator has failed. Most auto parts stores will check your electrical system for free.
Both of these run off systems using electrical pulse from the engine/transmission. It is common for the ground from the gauges to separate from other grounds and grounded together in the dash and to the engine block. Check this grounding system.
Obd1, not obdi--is accurate to describe the system used to check the electrical and engine systems on the car.
Your best bet to to verify your ground wires truly grounded. And check your charging system fuses.
