how do you check the oil in peugeot boxer '05 2 litre hdi
under the bonnet on the engine
In order to set the timing on a SX4 1.9 diesel, you'll need to follow a few steps. Here are the steps you need to take: Locate the timing marks on the timing belt. Ensure that the timing belt is properly tensioned. Using a timing light, set the timing belt to the correct timing. Using adjustable wrenches, tighten the timing belt tensioner. Check that the timing belt is at the correct tension. Recheck the timing with the timing light. Start the engine and check for any misfires. Check the timing again to make sure it is correct.Following these steps should ensure that the timing on your SX4 1.9 diesel is properly set. If you run into any issues, it is recommended that you consult a professional mechanic.
timing is computer controled base timing is done when gears are put on and timing marks are allined. there is not normally a timing problem there can be problems with sensors and wiring or pcm/ficm.
usually to cause an engine to diesel when shut off, the spark plugs are dirty or burned out.also check the timing
Check manifold housing and inner rubber housing of gear near timing belt. Peugeot parts and assembly pathetic.
If it is 2,0 hdi diesel it will be £120 for the year 143 G/KM C02 you can check on parkers for all cars
Most likely it is 60,000 miles. You can check the service interval in your owners manual.
This depends on wich engine is in the vehicle. The 1.6 and 2.0 petrol are timing chains. the 2.0 and 2.3 diesels have belts. the timing marks are as follows: 2.0 diesel: cam and injection pump marks should be at 11 o'clock. crankshaft mark at 2 o'clock with keyway at 12 o'clock. 2.3 diesel: same as 2.0 diesel. Hope this helps.
check for obstructions in tank interfering with sending unit
i think it has a problem in your injection pump or injector. or try to check your timing and your heater.
The Haynes manual I have doesn't mention any need to re check. As the bolts are "angle tightened" I would have thought it unlikely that they would require a check.
