Open the hood and you will be looking for a transparent cylinder shaped contaner near the top of the engine compartment on the drivers side. That part is called the master cylinder resivor, it holds most of your brake fluid. There should be a cap on the top that you can open and add fluid if needed.
All you need is BRAKE FLUID, DOT 3 fluid.
Dot 3----this is the fluid that is sold everyware buy on price as there is no such thing as bad brake fluid

check the brake fluid reservoir and add fluid if necessary.
check you brake fluid level.
Check your brake fluid. The light will come on due to low fluid. Or someone has yanked your E-Brake.
This light is trying to tell you that your brake fluid may be low. Check your brake fluid and fill if it needs it.
A 2004 Chevy Tracker uses standard Dextron ATF transmission fluid. This transmission fluid is used extensively among Chevy automatic transmissions.

Being surprised my 2001 Suzuki Grand Vitara (same as Tracker) had a drain plug for the transmission. I just change the fluid, not the filter or gasket.
check your brake fluid level and fill with brake fluid to the top of the master cylinder reservoir.
