Well the only way for you to check it yourself if to use the intrument cluster, and the buttons on the steering wheel. There is no dipstick on your model mercedes. Use the steering wheel buttons to scroll to the mileage screen, then just the arrows to scroll to the check oil level screen, it will wait a min. then check the level. If you just shut off the engine though, it will not check it until the car sits for awhile. Mercedes has a special dipstick that you should be able to purchase for your car.

If you look under the hood... "Mercedes recommends Mobil 1 Oil"
Google Castrol to find correct oil.
on the passenger side of the engine its a black cap that has a oil pump drawing.
Check the fuses.
