4 mm Allen screw under 14 mm capNext to the bracket that holds the parking brake cable to the caliper, there is a bolt with a 14 mm head that needs to be removed. This is a cap that covers the adjusting screw and should have a small copper washer. Insert a 4 mm Allen wrench into the hole you just uncovered, and turn the splined screw to retract the piston. After you change the pads and have the caliper mounted securely and the rotor secured with a lug nut or two, screw that Allen screw back in until the pads touch the rotor. Then back it off about 1/3 turn. If the splined screw comes out with your Allen wrench, don't worry; just put it back in. Finally, replace the 14 mm cap.
