The remote wire requires a 12 volt power source that comes on with the car.
The easiest thing to do is to wire it into the fuse box...coordinate with the diagram to find a fuse that comes on when you start the car or turn the key to accessory, such as turn signals, windshield wipers, etc....
Pull that fuse out, put the bare wire into where the fuse goes and secure it with the fuse.
The remote trunk release for a 1993 Grand Prix is in the gove box.

I hate to admit I searched this topic before noticing the "hr" and "mn" buttons on the bottom right of the stereo console (1998 Pontiac grand prix...stereo with equalizer built in). just press the buttons to adjust the time (with the stereo turned off).
MAYBE WAL-MART IF NOT A STEREO INSTALL SHOP

You can easily get all of the color codes for every wire on the 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix. Pontiac has an official website homepage that has all the information on it.
