Call your local Orthodox rabbi or go to the Chicago Rabbinical Councils website at www.crcweb.org and send them an email. They will give you exact information, but the basic steps probably are to let it sit unused for 24 hours, then to turn on the self-clean cycle, but you should double check!

When you says "kosher a kithchen" if you mean make it so someone can bring in already koisher pots, pans and uternsils and cook, then the orthodox Rabbi would help you kasher (make kosher) your kitchen by pointing out what needed to be cleaned and how. Or he might have a team of workers trained in how to do the cleaning. For example, making a hotel kitchen kosher for an event.

Those items would include counter tops, oven(s), stove top(s), refrigerator(s) and sink(s). You should know, however, not all materials or items can be kashered. For example, a non-kosher porcelain sink can't be made kosher and most dishwashers can not be kashered.

If however, you want to make your kitchen kosher for you to use, then in addition, all pots, pans and other cooking utensils also need to be kashered or replaced. Again the Rabbi will be able to tell you what can be cleaned and kashered and how to do that. He will also tell you what can not ever be used - those items will have to go.
