I'm deeply sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one. And I can sympathize with what you're feeling and going through right now. I would like to share with you what helped me get through these distressing times and what encouraged me to seek God for comfort and coping. Revelation 21:3 and 4 says "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say; "Look! The tent of God is with Mankind, and HE WILL reside with them. 4 And HE WILL wipe out every tear from their eyes, and DEATH will be NO MORE, neither will mourning nor outcry NOR PAIN be anymore, the FORMER things have passed away. This scripture really helped me to see that in the future Jehovah God will end death forever. It's encouraging to know that God does care about us and that he has set a time where he will do away with death forever. I hope I was able to bring you and your family some comfort in these critical times that you're dealing with. If you would like to learn more about The Bible and why does God allow the suffering that mankind is experiencing today, I will be glad to show you the bible's answer to that question and many more comforting promises that God promises to bring about.

  • All of us will experience the loss of a loved one sooner or later and age has nothing to do with it. No matter how badly your heart is breaking or how much you cry this is a part of grieving and the bodys way of relaxing itself. Individuals who grieve feel their heart is ripped out of their body and they may feel they will never heal, but, in truth, time is the healer (there is no specific time when a person should stop grieving) and we are left with the good memories of a loved one and by moving foward in our own lives we carry a torch in ways for that loved one by remembering the good times and what a wonderful person they were and still are in your heart.

What do people do to cope with death?

The best ways to cope with loss of a loved one are to share your feelings with people who will listen to them and not try to "fix" you, and cry when you need to. Grief is our way of adjusting our world to life without the loved one. It is a normal process, and goes through predictable stages lasting from one to two years. It can be hastened by working your way through it and not fighting the process. Contact Hospice in your area for support, or your local mental health association.
