A voluntary long-distance relationship is an oxymoron. There is little you can do when you are not there to help her. You may wish to refer her to these articles:
I am sorry to hear you are going through this. There is only one solution to this problem .. you move to where she is. I know this may be impossible for you, but if there is any chance of you doing this and you love this girl it is well worth it. If you are just going together and are not all that close then I would stay right out of it.
I must admit I don't have great faith in long distance relationships. You need to touch that person once in awhile. Unless the 2 can visit each other at least once a month, also call each other at least once a week, then the relationships don't usually last. Good luck Marcy
When a woman has an abusive ex she should not take any crap from him. mainly because a woman is somehting that should be respected not diminished or abused. personnally comin from a guy i would first tell him off then if i had any really tough friends that would do any thing for me i would have them bully my ex and then if it goes to an extreme i'd either get an order of protection or get someone to beat him up.

This dream suggests seriously conflicted feelings. There is a definite sense that this ex-boyfriend is abusive. That is a very good reason for him to be an "ex." Moreover, abusive men can also be very romantic and overly demonstrative with affection. The dream could express the dreamer's longing for the romance, while confirming the violence in the relationship. This dream is a good reminder to avoid such volatile relationships.
